Working Together
I bring a rare combination of personal experience, professional training, and compassion to my work with individuals, groups, and organizations. As a life transition coach, I support people navigating grief and life transitions — from bereavement and relationship loss to career changes, relocation, downsizing, or retirement.
My background as an executive advisor and consultant allows me to help professionals and teams approach change with clarity, resilience, and practical strategies for thriving in times of transition.
I am the author of Our Last Walk Home: Love, Cancer, and the Agony of Letting Go and a facilitator of Death Cafés, creating welcoming spaces for honest, meaningful conversations about grief, loss, and living fully.
Whether you are seeking individual support, professional coaching, or organizational guidance, my approach is grounded in evidence-based strategies, lived experience, and a deep respect for the human journey through change.
Life Transition Coaching
As a life transition coach, I support individuals navigating the grief that accompanies life’s many losses—whether the loss of a loved one, a role, an identity, a relationship, or a former version of life itself.
Through safe, confidential coaching, I work with individuals facing the emotional, relational, and practical challenges that arise during times of change. My approach honors the pain of loss while also creating space for meaning, integration, and healing. I support clients as they move through uncertainty, reconstruct identity, and find steadier footing after life has been disrupted.
Death Café Facilitation
A Death Café is a facilitated group conversation—often among strangers—designed to create a welcoming space to talk openly about death, dying, and the thoughts and feelings these topics evoke. Death Cafés are not therapy and do not follow an agenda, belief system, or prescribed outcome. Instead, they offer a structured yet open dialogue rooted in curiosity, reflection, and shared human experience.
I facilitate Death Cafés in a variety of settings, including:
Libraries & Community Spaces
Public Death Cafés are commonly hosted by libraries and community organizations and are free to attend, in keeping with the Death Café tradition. These events support community connection and help normalize conversations about death as a natural part of life.
High Schools & Colleges
In educational settings, Death Cafés offer students a non-clinical space to explore mortality, grief, meaning, and identity. These conversations support emotional awareness, empathy, and thoughtful reflection during important developmental years.
Corporate & Workplace Settings
In professional environments, grief often goes unspoken. Death Cafés provide a gentle, structured way to acknowledge loss in its many forms—organizational change, downsizing, retirement, role transitions, the death of a colleague, or personal bereavement. When facilitated with care, these conversations can foster understanding, resilience, and a more compassionate workplace culture.
End-of-Life Doula
I provide compassionate, non-medical support to individuals and families preparing for the end of life. This work includes emotional and spiritual presence, legacy and meaning-making conversations, gentle guidance through anticipatory grief, and helping loved ones feel supported and less alone.
